Today we got to see the Spread Game Tour 2022 by the Harlem Globetrotters at the Crypto.com Arena in downtown Los Angeles and it was fun for the whole family!
Stacy was really into it and we got her a Harlem Globetrotters official basketball so she can practice the moves (nothing could stop her from trying all the moves). Jason was very entertained the whole time, clapping and dancing on his seat! I love seeing his smile (he is only 1 and doesnt need to wear a mask).
Don’t know what the Harlem Globetrotters are? Here is a little background (from their site). The Harlem Globetrotters are known worldwide, they are great family entertainment and great basketball skills. The Globetrotters represent 90-plus years of breaking down barriers, acts of goodwill and a commitment to fans that goes beyond the game. They continue to bring their entertainment to millions of fans around the world with more than 400 live events each year. “Each Globetrotters game features some of the best athletes on the planet, unmatched fan interaction, incredible ball handling wizardly, rim-rattling dunks and side splitting comedy. In all, close to 750 men and women have played for the world famous team, a team which has entertained popes, kings, queens, and presidents around the globe”. This year’s tour is all about honoring the late and great Curly Neal, who played 22 seasons wearing #22, such a fitting way to start off 2022 and the perfect way to commemorate his legacy.
We really enjoyed learning more about the Globetrotters and their legacy along with being entertained! Our experience at the Crypto.com Arena, is that you must be up-to-date with the changing requirements for COVID. We had to wait in line for a rapid-test for my daughter and also note that they no longer have stroller check (they have a section you can leave your stroller at your own risk). We are happy we got to enjoy the show today and see the kids be happy with this new experience. It was definitely one for the books!
